Naomi is almost 1! & If you ask Maiya about it, she'll tell you that she's so excited to see her little girl becoming her own little person, bur heart broken that this year has flown by so incredibly fast.
It was a year ago that Maiya's due date was 12 days away, it literally feels like yesterday! We all thought for sure she was coming early, but she had to build the suspense for her grand entrance.
I fell asleep very early on the couch a Saturday evening watching TV. It was a week after Maiya's due date. I woke up close to midnight & had a missed FaceTime call from Maiya. I had a feeling, so I quickly called her back! She was laying in the hospital BEAMING as she told me it was time! She quickly gave me the low down on the progress & we hung up right before she got her epidural. I woke up early the next morning expecting a photo of a brand new baby girl! But not yet! Maiya was still in labor. It was later that afternoon I got a picture message from Maiya, of Naomi June! Happy Birthday baby girl!

A week later, Naomi came home from the NICU, on Mother's Day. No doubt, the best 1st Mother's Day anyone could have.
& here we are just about a year later. Naomi is so sweet, always smiling, the happiest baby ever (no seriously), she is kind & already so gentle & nice to her pets & Nicolina. She is becoming all of the best traits of her mother & father, added with her own little spunk!
