We love our wild bird sling because it is super easy to put on it really quick when you get out of the car and need to run into the store. You just throw it over your shoulder pop the baby in it and then tighten the rings by pulling on the extra material and just go.
The other wrap I tried before WildBird, was the moby wrap - which I really liked as well! But that was when Naomi was a newborn and we were home a lot more and now that we need to get out and go alot quicker, this one is just super convenient for us.
They come in two different fabrics, the first one being linen and then the second one being chambray - which they also have a double linen and a double chambray (for heavier/bigger babies and toddlers) I didn’t know the difference at first, I just saw them on Instagram (@wildbird) and thought that they were super cute & would go with a lot of things that I already wear. So I ended up watching a lot of their tutorials on how you put them on prior to purchasing, so I kind of knew ahead of time how it would work.
When I actually got the sling and I put it on, it kind of just instantly clicked for me. I just find them to be super easy! I mean, I did do a lot of research ahead of time, and once I got the sling I practiced a lot & it still seemed a lot easier. I got my first one, the single chambray for Christmas, from Evan, which I really love because it’s a super boho, pink, beautiful pattern.
Soon after getting my first sling, I joined their Facebook group (WildBird VIPeeps). Here I learned a lot more about which fabric does what, like, as Naomi got bigger and heavier, (she’s almost 11 months now & 23+pounds) I ended up getting a double (in their fall/winter sale...score!). I put Naomi in it for the first time and it was amazing. now she doesn’t feel as heavy on my back and shoulders when I wear her it’s really more supportive and is still really cute and I just love them! We take a sling everywhere with us, to the store, the Zoo, and everywhere in between.
I would 10 out of 10 recommend WildBird ring slings for any any stage or age, newborn to 35 pounds! They even have cute mini slings for toddlers to wear their favorite baby or stuffed animal in! Talk about a cuteness!
