All you need for this DIY Easter craft with your little one is:
• Paint (I used acrylic but any kind will work, washable being ideal, & just make sure to wash off directly after!)
• Paint brush or a Sponge/Old wash cloth that you don’t care about (don’t buy anything you don’t need to!)
• Sharpie or pen or even black paint if you’re feeling super artsy!
• Paper (literally any kind you have; you can use printer paper, construction paper, colored/designs on paper, or you can even get a mini canvas! If you’re using paper - don’t worry about it getting messed up afterwards - you can head to the dollar store for a frame & keep your little babes masterpiece beautiful forever!)
Also - I would have an old towel handy to wipe away any paint you don’t want to get anywhere. I would suggest laying down newspaper or even putting them in their high chair if you don’t want a mess!
Step 1: Apply orange paint to the bottom of your little ones foot
Step 2: Stand them up, grab their foot so you have control, and press down onto your surface
Step 3: Take paintbrush, or even your own finger, and use the green paint to draw three leaves
Step 4: Take your little ones thumb (or if you’re worried about them eating paint - take their big toe - lol!) & cover it with yellow paint
Step 5: Take yellow covered finger & push onto paper. These will be your little chicks! So do however many you’d like
Step 6: Have a glass of wine or a beer mama! You did it!! All you have to do now is wait for it to dry a little (here’s something fun & quick you can do after your little babe goes to bed!)
Step 7: Add the final details to your little carrot & chicks. Don’t forget to sign and date this masterpiece!! You can add a frame later on...I know I definitely will be!
This will be a decoration we hang in our home for many years to come! I hope you guys enjoyed crafting & building memories with your family & littles ones!
